Part of the Pacers’ starting lineup due to his defensive ability, Nesmith has never lacked the ability to knock down shots. He had his best offensive performance of the season on Sunday, recording his first 20-point game. Nesmith has hit double figures in five of his last six outings, sitting just outside the top 75 in eight-cat formats since the All-Star break. The Pacers play three games during Week 18, starting with the Rockets on Tuesday.

Haliburton had an excellent game as a facilitator in Game 1. The 25-year-old point guard moved the ball effectively as he totaled 12 assists. It wasn’t the best shooting game for Haliburton, though. He was just 3-of-13 from the field and missed all seven of his three-point attempts. While the Pacers were still able to take Game 1 by nine points in game that wasn’t as close as the final score, it’s likely they’ll need more scoring from Haliburton to close out this series.

While Turner had just five rebounds in Game 1, he was otherwise excellent. The 29-year-old center was a force on the defensive end with a steal and four blocks. On the offensive end, he was able to make four three-pointers as the Pacers pulled away from the Bucks. Turner vastly outplayed his counterpart Brook Lopez as the Pacers took a one-game advantage in the series.

Siakam led the Pacers in scoring in the Game 1 win. The 31-year-old power forward continues to show he’s one of the most underrated players in the league this year. Siakam was efficient with 25 points on 15 shots including three made three-pointers. He led Indiana with a +28 in 33 minutes in the nine-point victory. Milwaukee will have to come up with an answer for Siakam if they want to get back in this series in Game Two.

Bridges was the second-leading scorer behind Jalen Brunson (37) for the Knicks in this game, but he still wasn’t great, especially down the stretch. He was held scoreless in the fourth quarter and missed multiple clean looks late in the game, including a three-pointer with 11 seconds left that would’ve tied this game. Instead, New York will now head to Detroit for Game 3 with the series tied at one game apiece. Bridges only had eight points in Game 1, and they’ll need him to be much better for the Knicks to reclaim home-court advantage in this series.

Having scored 24 points on 10-of-19 shooting in Houston’s April 6 win over the Warriors, Brooks likely entered Sunday’s series opener with ample offensive confidence. While he did have a better night shooting-wise than starting guards Fred VanVleet and Jalen Green, Brooks offered limited offensive value, and the defensive stats weren’t there, either. He and Amen Thompson (8/9/6/1/1 in 33 minutes) will have their hands full in this series, and they’ll need to provide some offense as well. The Rockets will look to even the series at 1-all in Game 2 on Wednesday.

On the day he was named a finalist for the NBA’s Sixth Man of the Year award, Jerome showed why he was deserving of that distinction. Playing in his first playoff game, the Cavaliers guard finished with the fourth-most points scored off the bench in a postseason debut since 1971. Defending Donovan Mitchell and Darius Garland was challenging enough for Miami; Jerome’s play was essentially the knockout blow in Game 1, scoring 16 points in the fourth quarter. He’ll look to build on this performance when the Cavaliers host Game 2 on Wednesday.
