Initially a game-time decision, Adebayo is available for Wednesday’s game and will start. He’s joined in the lineup by Davion Mitchell, Tyler Herro, Andrew Wiggins and Kel’el Ware, as expected.

Larsson is looking to return from a three-game layoff while Jovic hasn’t played since February. The Heat could need to rely on Haywood Highsmith, Kyle Anderson, and Jaime Jaquez off the bench if Larsson and Jovic are ruled out.

Ware was the lone regular in the Heat starting lineup for Sunday’s regular-season finale, as they were locked into a play-in tournament matchup with Chicago. With that in mind, it’s unsurprising that the rookie only logged 20 minutes, with Keshad Johnson (17/8/1/2 with two three-pointers in 28 minutes) among the Heat reserves whose opportunities increased. Ware will assume his usual role on Wednesday, while Johnson will be inactive as a two-way contract player.

The Heat rested most of their key contributors for Sunday’s regular-season finale, resulting in Jaquez having the ultimate “green light” offensively. The good news for fantasy managers in active leagues who streamed him is that the offensive freedom did not crater his efficiency. Jaquez shot 68 percent from the field and finished with a career-high point total. Add in the rebounds, assists and three-pointers, and Sunday’s performance should instill some confidence in Jaquez ahead of Wednesday’s matchup with Chicago, even if his role is going to be vastly different with Tyler Herro and Bam Adebayo on the court.

Carter was excellent on Tuesday, and the time off that comes with earning the seventh seed should benefit him. The Magic center rolled his right ankle during the first half and banged knees with a Hawks defender during the third quarter. The good news is that neither injury forced Carter out of Tuesday’s game immediately, and Orlando pulling away during the fourth quarter got him a little more time on the bench late. The Magic don’t play Boston in Game 1 of their first-round series until Sunday, which should help Carter regain strength.

Thompson has been an elite rebounder for his entire career, but it has been a few years since he played enough to be relevant in fantasy basketball. However, he got the chance in this game and took advantage. His 20 rebounds were the most he has had in a game since 2020 when he grabbed a career-best 22 boards. It was fun to see Thompson play this well, but he won’t see more than a few minutes during the postseason.
