The Pacers sat all five of their starters for Friday’s game, as the chances of passing the Knicks for the three-seed in the East were slim. Mathurin was one of the replacements, and while the points, rebounds and steals were good, he was inefficient. He shot poorly from the field and racked up five turnovers, the most in a game for Mathurin since January 18. With Indiana knowing its seed and first-round opponent (Milwaukee), Sunday’s game against Cleveland will be another opportunity to rest the starters.

Though Nembhard’s contributions were mostly on the defensive end as the primary defender on Damian Lillard, he was still able to make an impact in the box score. That included a three-pointer with 1:11 left in the game that gave Indiana an eight-point lead, which they had no issues maintaining. Nembhard doesn’t always fill up the stat sheet, but he’ll continue to be an impactful player for the Pacers as their postseason continues. He’ll look to continue keeping Lillard in check in Game 3 as the series shifts to Milwaukee.

After a fantastic performance in Game 1, Siakam had another big night on Tuesday. He is averaging 24.5 points, nine rebounds, 2.5 assists, two steals and 2.5 triples per game through the first two games of this series, with the Pacers having won both. Siakam also added a late three-pointer to seal the win for Indiana and make him the team’s leading scorer for the second game in a row. He’ll look to keep that going in Game 3 in Milwaukee on Friday.

On the same day that The Athletic released a player survey where Haliburton was voted as the most overrated player in the NBA, Indiana’s star point guard picked apart Milwaukee’s defense to help the Pacers jump out to a 2-0 lead in this series. Haliburton only scored 10 points during a rough shooting performance in Game 1 on Saturday, but he had more success on Tuesday and still dished out 12 assists for the second straight game. He’ll look to keep that going in Milwaukee for Game 3 on Friday as the Pacers look to take 3-0 series lead.

While the Grizzlies were more competitive in Game 2 than in Sunday’s 51-point defeat, they still did not have an answer for Williams. In Oklahoma City’s two victories, he dropped 44 points on 20-of-35 shooting. By comparison, he averaged 19.8 points per game on 49.2 percent shooting in four meetings with the Grizzlies during the regular season. Regardless of what Memphis has been able to do defensively to slow down Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, their lack of an answer for J-Dub and the rest of the “supporting cast” is why Oklahoma City takes a 2-0 lead into Thursday’s Game 3.

Bridges was the second-leading scorer behind Jalen Brunson (37) for the Knicks in this game, but he still wasn’t great, especially down the stretch. He was held scoreless in the fourth quarter and missed multiple clean looks late in the game, including a three-pointer with 11 seconds left that would’ve tied this game. Instead, New York will now head to Detroit for Game 3 with the series tied at one game apiece. Bridges only had eight points in Game 1, and they’ll need him to be much better for the Knicks to reclaim homecourt advantage in this series.

Having scored 24 points on 10-of-19 shooting in Houston’s April 6 win over the Warriors, Brooks likely entered Sunday’s series opener with ample offensive confidence. While he did have a better night shooting-wise than starting guards Fred VanVleet and Jalen Green, Brooks offered limited offensive value, and the defensive stats weren’t there, either. He and Amen Thompson (8/9/6/1/1 in 33 minutes) will have their hands full in this series, and they’ll need to provide some offense as well. The Rockets will look to even the series at 1-all in Game 2 on Wednesday.
