Bassey will miss another game with a bone bruise in his left knee, leaving the Spurs light on options at the center position with Victor Wembanyama done for the season. Bismack Biyombo will remain in the starting lineup and is worth streaming for managers needing rebounds. Sandro Mamukelashvili will play rotation minutes off the bench, but there’s no need to consider adding him.

After missing Friday’s game against the Suns, Johnson was available for San Antonio’s season finale. He ended up being their leading scorer off the bench to help them end the year on a high note. Johnson’s season was disappointing as his points, rebounds, assists, three-pointers and minutes all took a big hit. He averaged just 12.7 points, 4.8 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.1 triples in a 23.9 minutes per game, though he was available for 77 games. He may not be a great fantasy option, but Johnson is a really strong reserve scorer for a Spurs team that should make a return to the postseason next year.

Though he didn’t have an efficient shooting performance, Castle was able to close out his rookie season on a high note. This was his eighth-straight game with at least five assists, and he has scored at least 20 points in four of those games. Castle will likely be named the Rookie of the Year for this season, and he has a bright future ahead of him. However, while he will have a good chance to start for the Spurs next season, he may not make the same statistical impact with the rest of the team healthy.

Paul has had another solid season, though it has gone under the radar at times. However, with an appearance on Sunday, Paul was able to play in all 82 games for just the second time in his career. That is wildly impressive for a point guard who will turn 40 years old next month. Paul is nowhere near as productive as he once was, but he is still one of the best passers in the league at his age. As long as he is playing, there won’t be many players in the league who can match his combination of assists and steals with limited turnovers.

Reid took a Jarred Vanderbilt elbow to the mouth during the second half of Saturday’s series opener, and that was all that slowed him down. The Timberwolves’ backup big scored 17 in the first half and finished the game one steal shy of a complete stat line. Since scoring 20 points in a March 24 loss to the Pacers, Reid surpassed 15 points once in his final eight appearances of the regular season. The Lakers utilized a “boxes and elbows” defensive strategy in an attempt to keep Anthony Edwards out of the lane, which resulted in players like Reid getting cleaner looks. His play (and that of Jaden McDaniels) could force the Lakers to alter their approach for Wednesday’s Game 2.

Towns was impactful on both ends of the floor in his first playoff game in a Knicks uniform. In addition to shooting well over 50 percent from the field, he recorded a complete stat line and did not commit a turnover. To say he looked far more comfortable on Saturday than he did in New York’s April 10 loss to the Pistons would be an understatement. The Knicks will need Towns to consistently reach (or exceed) the level he played at on Saturday to go deep into the playoffs. Game 2 is on Monday night.

While Turner had just five rebounds in Game 1, he was otherwise excellent. The 29-year-old center was a force on the defensive end with a steal and four blocks. On the offensive end, he was able to make four three-pointers as the Pacers pulled away from the Bucks. Turner vastly outplayed his counterpart Brook Lopez as the Pacers took a one-game advantage in the series.
