Whitehead’s absence does not impact fantasy basketball, as he is not in the Nets’ rotation when healthy. Hopefully, this is not an injury that keeps him out for an extended period, as there may be “silly season” opportunities for Whitehead if the Nets aren’t in contention for a play-in spot.

After a disappointing start to the season, Claxton was able to redeem himself steadily. The Nets center finished as a seventh-round player in free-throw punt builds, which is only one round worse than his Yahoo! ADP. That said, Claxton’s rebounding and blocked shot production decreased, with the averages of 7.4 rebounds and 1.4 blocks being the lowest for him since the 2021-22 campaign. He’ll remain a key building block for the Nets next season, but the team is undoubtedly hoping that he’ll be more effective on the glass and as a defender.

Martin was allowed to start Sunday’s season finale, his 11th of the season, and the former second-round pick played well. He recorded his second 20-point game in five appearances, and the rebounding production was also encouraging. Martin’s contract for next season is non-guaranteed, making it a fool’s errand to project what value he will provide to fantasy managers. And with the Nets having four first-round picks this summer, Martin’s path to a guaranteed contract will remain challenging.

Claxton is back after sitting out Friday’s loss to the Timberwolves. While Precious Achiuwa should be a good matchup for him, fantasy managers in active leagues should assume Claxton will not log starters’ minutes in the regular-season finale. Johnson, Watford and Wilson offer decent fantasy ceilings for Sunday’s loaded schedule.

As was the case for most of the regular season, Hardaway provided points and three-pointers, and not much else. That said, this was an encouraging performance, given how he ended the regular season. In Detroit’s final three games, Hardaway totaled 19 points on 7-of-21 shooting. With the defensive attention the Knicks have devoted to Cade Cunningham, there will be opportunities for Hardaway to put up points playing off the ball. He and the Pistons will look to even the series when they face the Knicks in Game 2 on Monday.

It appears to be all systems go for Brown. Celtics coach Joe Mazzulla told reporters the 28-year-old small forward had a good week of practice without limitations. Brown missed multiple games towards the end of the regular season and even received pain management injections due to knee pain. Nevertheless, he appears to be full-go for the playoffs.

Batum practiced fully on Wednesday, so it isn’t surprising that he will be available to play in Game 1 against Denver. The Clippers haven’t released an official injury report yet, but Batum should play his usual role off the bench, which was 17.5 minutes per game during the regular season.
