LeBron James shot 8-of-18 from the field and 2-of-2 from the foul line in Saturday’s Game 1 loss to the Timberwolves, scoring 19 points with five rebounds, three assists, two steals, three blocks and one three-pointer in 36 minutes.

Luka Doncic accumulated 37 points (12-of-22 FGs, 8-of-9 FTs), eight rebounds, one assist, two steals and five three-pointers in 40 minutes in Saturday’s Game 1 loss to the Timberwolves.

Playing in the postseason as a Laker for the first time, Doncic recorded a gaudy stat line in Saturday’s series opener. Unfortunately, he was also responsible for five turnovers, and the Lakers were unable to keep the Timberwolves under wraps after getting off to a solid start. The turnover count wasn’t out of the ordinary for Doncic, but his efficiency will be of heightened importance in this series. Especially if the Lakers have as much trouble defensively as they did in Game 1. Game 2 is scheduled for Wednesday night.

OG Anunoby finished Saturday’s Game 1 win over the Pistons with 23 points (8-of-18 FGs, 4-of-4 FTs), seven rebounds, five steals, two blocks and three three-pointers in 44 minutes.

Anunoby came out hot to start Saturday’s series opener, scoring 19 first-half points on 6-of-10 shooting from the field. While his offensive production tailed off after the break, that was not the case for the Knicks’ wing’s defense. Given the task of defending Cade Cunningham, Anunoby made the point guard’s life difficult for most of the evening. And he was outstanding during New York’s 21-0 fourth quarter run, forcing multiple turnovers to get the Knicks out in transition. New York hosts Game 2 on Monday night.

Keldon Johnson provided a boost off the bench with 23 points (10-of-14 FGs), nine rebounds, one block and one three-pointer against the Raptors on Sunday.

After missing Friday’s game against the Suns, Johnson was available for San Antonio’s season finale. He ended up being their leading scorer off the bench to help them end the year on a high note. Johnson’s season was disappointing as his points, rebounds, assists, three-pointers and minutes all took a big hit. He averaged just 12.7 points, 4.8 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.1 triples in a 23.9 minutes per game, though he was available for 77 games. He may not be a great fantasy option, but Johnson is a really strong reserve scorer for a Spurs team that should make a return to the postseason next year.

Scottie Barnes led the Raptors with 35 points (15-of-23 FGs), 11 rebounds, eight assists and two three-pointers in a 125-118 win over the Spurs on Sunday.

In what has been a disappointing season for both Barnes and the Raptors, he was able to close the season out on a high note. He finishes his fourth season in the NBA with averages of 19.3 points, 7.7 rebounds, 5.8 assists, 1.4 steals, one block and 1.2 threes per game. Toronto should be more competitive next season with Brandon Ingram and a lottery pick entering the rotation. That should help Barnes bounce back from a disappointing campaign where he shot a career-worst 44.6 percent from the floor.
