Tyson was a first-round pick last summer, but he wasn’t able to carve out a role on a talented Cavs team. That isn’t an indictment of his talent since Cleveland finished with the best record in the East. He took advantage of the opportunity to play a significant role in this game and had the best game of his young career. Tyson won’t be a factor for them during the postseason, but he has a bright future in the league.

However, he got the chance in this game and took advantage. His 20 rebounds were the most he has had in a game since 2020 when he grabbed a career-best 22 boards. It was fun to see Thompson play this well, but he won’t see more than a few minutes during the postseason.
