One night removed from scoring 28 points in a loss to the Pelicans, Durant was less productive as a scorer in Friday’s rematch. However, he’s averaged nearly 26 points per game over the past three weeks, providing first-round value in 12-team leagues (eight- and nine-cat formats). Durant will look to get the Suns closer to the play-in places on Sunday when the Timberwolves visit the Valley of the Sun.

Phoenix’s disappointing 2024-25 season ended with a loss to Sacramento on Sunday, and head coach Mike Budenholzer was fired the following day. Booker may be the only “safe” player on the roster in what should be a busy summer for the franchise. He’s eligible to sign an extension worth $ 149.8 million over two seasons, and according to Windhorst, the Suns intend to offer their star guard that deal. With Phoenix not having control of its first-round pick for the rest of the decade, they’ll likely have to part with Kevin Durant or Bradley Beal (or both) to change the roster’s makeup significantly.

Dunn finished his rookie season with a double-double and a complete stat line on Sunday. While his season-long fantasy value was low, ranking outside the top-300 in eight- and nine-cat formats, Dunn did enough to earn consistent rotation minutes. He would move into the starting lineup for good in mid-March, providing top-150 value in nine-cat formats over the season’s final month. Like many other Suns, projecting Dunn’s fantasy value next season is difficult, as the roster should look far different.

Despite being replaced in the starting lineup by Mason Plumlee (4/5/3 in 22 minutes), Ighodaro still played more minutes in Sunday’s finale. The rookie center had moments in which he showed promise, but Mike Budenholzer’s rotation and the overall state of the Suns did not do Oso any favors. Ighodaro has the talent to be a factor in deeper fantasy formats, but that depends on what Phoenix’s roster looks like next season.

After playing at least 17 minutes in six straight games, Kuminga picked up a DNP-CD in Golden State’s final two games before the playoffs. He met a similar fate in Sunday’s Game 1, and that may be the norm for Kuminga moving forward. Multiple outlets reported during the game that he’s unlikely to crack the rotation unless there’s a need to adjust the game plan within a game or the series. With restricted free agency looming in the summer, Kuminga is a player to watch in these playoffs, especially if he remains on the bench.

Wagner did record a complete stat line in Sunday’s series opener, but the efficiency left something to be desired. Worse than the field goal percentage was the fact that he recorded as many turnovers as assists, finishing with five of each. Given the decided disadvantage the Magic are at offensively in this series, they’re going to need a consistently elite Wagner if they’re to have a chance of winning this series. He’ll look to bounce back in Game 2 on Wednesday.

Banchero was excellent in Game 1, scoring 19 points in the first half and another 17 after the halftime break. Unfortunately for the Magic, he was the only player who could consistently create opportunities offensively. A difficult matchup for most teams due to his combination of size, athleticism and skill set, this could be a big series for Banchero individually. However, the prevailing question is whether or not Orlando will be able to generate enough offense collectively to have a chance of beating the reigning champions. Game 2 is on Wednesday night.
