Beasley shot 5-of-8 from the field in the first half and finished with a team-high 26 points, recording his third 20-point game in his last six outings. Rostered in 41 percent of Yahoo! leagues, the Pistons guard has provided sixth-round value in eight-cat formats over the past three weeks. And with Jaden Ivey (leg) not guaranteed to return before the fantasy playoff rounds, Beasley is a must-have in 14-team leagues, and he’s worth adding in 12-team formats.

Sasser was one of two new starters, stepping in for Cade Cunningham in a game that had no bearing on the Pistons’ playoff seeding. While he did not shoot the ball as well as he’s capable of, going 1-of-6 from three, the second-year point guard recorded a season-high assist tally. With Cunningham and Dennis Schroder in the mix, Sasser is unlikely to play rotation minutes in the Pistons’ first-round series against the Knicks. And the former’s presence as Detroit’s franchise cornerstone is why Sasser is unlikely to be a consistent factor in fantasy basketball next season.

Fantasy managers in active leagues (and DFS tournaments) likely hoped to get more out of Holland on Sunday. The rookie did not provide much value as a starter, playing 23 minutes before giving way to players such as Lindy Waters III (18/5/1/1/1 with six three-pointers in 35 minutes) and even 17 minutes to the other Ron — Ron Harper Jr.. Holland will be in the Pistons’ rotation when the playoffs begin next weekend, but his playing time and value will be limited against the Knicks.

It doesn’t take much for Beasley to get rolling, and his hot shooting during the second and third quarters dragged the Pistons back into a game that was on its way to being a laugher. He shot 7-of-9 from three in those periods, appearing in fine form ahead of the Pistons’ first playoff appearance since 2019. Beasley’s name won’t be on the marquee for the first-round series against the Knicks, but he’s capable of being a factor. New York ranks 25th in the NBA in three-point percentage defense, which may be an area that Detroit can exploit.

As expected, Young will be good to go for Atlanta’s play-in matchup. Young had 28 points before being ejected from Tuesday’s game against the Magic. The Hawks will need him to be even better (and for him to be available for the whole game) if they want to advance to play the Cavaliers in the first round.

Sheppard miss Indiana’s final five games of the regular season, but he should be available for their first game of the postseason. Sheppard should fill out a large reserve role and provide some floor spacing. He averaged 5.8 points in 17.7 minutes per game during their first round series against the Bucks last year.

Charania also noted that if this was a regular season game, Morant likely wouldn’t be playing. It is a “severe” ankle sprain, though he has never wavered from his stance that he will play against Dallas. The injection should help ease the pain, but it also establishes just how severe the injury is. Still, in an elimination game, Morant will play as much as he needs to in order to get Memphis to the playoffs.
