Buzelis may not be in the conversation for Rookie of the Year, but his recent performance should have Chicago fans encouraged. This was his sixth-straight game making at least 50 percent of his shots, and he has now scored in double figures in 10 of his last 11 outings. The Bulls clinched the ninth seed in the East, which means Sunday’s season finale against the 76ers won’t matter. However, it may be a good opportunity for Buzelis to play a premier role. Unless Billy Donovan opts to rest him, the rookie should be a focal point of the offense to close out his first regular season.

Ball said he is excited for his “first normal offseason in awhile.” He has been plagued by numerous injuries but was able to play 35 games during the 2024-25 season after not playing at all during the 2022-23 and 2023-24 seasons. Ball was sidelined for all of March and April, but since he won’t require any procedure during the offseason, he should be ready to go for training camp.

Giddey said his plan is simply to rest it. Prior to Wednesday’s play-in loss, ESPN’s Shams Charania reported that Giddey had a torn muscle in his right hand. He played through it and delivered 25 points and 10 rebounds in Chicago’s final game of the season. The injury shouldn’t be a factor in Giddey’s quest for a new contract this summer as he enters restricted free agency. There is a good chance that he remains with the Bulls. That would be great news for his fantasy value as he is coming off the best season of his career.

“Red Velvet” provided limited production in Wednesday’s defeat, which included a 1-of-4 night from beyond the arc. The three “stocks” were solid, but Chicago needed more from Huerter on a night when the team scored a season-low 90 points. After being traded to the Bulls in early February, Huerter was a 10th-round player in nine-cat formats, spending considerable time in the starting lineup. However, those starts were made possible by injuries to Lonzo Ball and Tre Jones. Huerter has one season remaining on his contract and should be in the rotation. However, a healthy Ball likely pushes him to the bench, especially if the Bulls re-sign Josh Giddey.

Game 1 was one to forget for LeBron, but he bounced back well on Tuesday. James didn’t match his five “stocks” from Saturday, but the entire team had a much better defensive performance after giving up 117 points in their last game. Offensively, James was better, but he still wasn’t his typical dominant self that we see come out during the playoffs. He’s 40-years-old, so we’ll cut him some slack. Game 3 will be in Minnesota on Friday, and James will need to have a big night for the Lakers to reclaim homecourt advantage.

After a fantastic performance in Game 1, Siakam had another big night on Tuesday. He is averaging 24.5 points, nine rebounds, 2.5 assists, two steals and 2.5 triples per game through the first two games of this series, with the Pacers having won both. Siakam also added a late three-pointer to seal the win for Indiana and make him the team’s leading scorer for the second game in a row. He’ll look to keep that going in Game 3 in Milwaukee on Friday.

With Brook Lopez rendered ineffective, head coach Doc Rivers turned to Portis to take on more minutes at center. Lopez only played 16 minutes after playing 21 minutes in Game 1, while Portis went from playing 25 minutes in Game 1 to playing 31 minutes on Tuesday. Though it didn’t change the result of this game, things went well with Portis on the floor. With Game 3 coming on Friday, we’ll see if this was a rotational adjustment that Rivers will continue to roll with or if this was simply because Portis was having a strong night shooting the ball.
