Jokic also had a triple-double Thursday in the loss to the Bucks. The 30-year-old center now has 28 triple-doubles in 54 games, needing only four more to break the single-season record (held by Wilt Chamberlain). Jokic dished out 15 assists against the Pistons Friday and is on pace to become the first center to average at least 10 assists in a season. While he isn’t currently the favorite for the league’s MVP away, Jokic is certainly the fantasy MVP this season.

Gordon played 46 of a possible 53 minutes in Saturday’s overtime victory to open the series. He’s on the injury report for injury management reasons, and the probable tag suggests Gordon will be available in the end. Peyton Watson, who logged 14 minutes in Game 1, will take on additional playing time if the Nuggets’ starting power forward is limited in any way.

Murray did not get off to the best start on Saturday, shooting 2-of-8 from the field in the first half. While slightly better after the intermission, the rebounds and assists were where the Nuggets guard was most impactful in Game 1. Who helped pick up the slack in stretches was Russell Westbrook. Despite shooting 5-of-17 from the field, he chipped in with 15 points, eight rebounds, three assists, two steals and two three-pointers in 34 minutes off the bench. Murray’s overall stat line was solid, but the Nuggets will need him to shoot better moving forward.

Zubac had his hands full defending Nikola Jokić in Saturday’s series opener. That task did not prevent him from doing his job offensively, with the Clippers’ center shooting 66.7 percent from the field and recording an efficient double-double. Zubac has been one of the most improved players in the NBA this season, and his play on both ends of the floor will be critical in this series. The Clippers and Nuggets meet again in Game 2 on Monday.

Hukporti is back after missing over a month with a torn meniscus in his right knee. However, this is very much a “break in case of emergency” situation, as Mitchell Robinson and Precious Achiuwa are also available. Don’t expect to see Hukporti on the floor unless there are multiple injuries or the game gets out of hand.

With Landale unavailable with a knee injury, the Rockets’ depth at center takes a hit. Steven Adams will serve as Alperen Sengun’s primary backup for Game 1 against the Warriors. We’ll see if Landale can make it back before the end of the series.
