With top receivers getting paid this offseason, Aiyuk is now holding out to get his own top-of-the-market contract. It was previously reported that he was looking for a contract extension similar to the one Amon-Ra St. Brown received. Aiyuk is set to earn just over $14 million on his fifth-year option, but he is looking for long-term security. With Justin Jefferson just getting paid after Devonta Smith, Jaylen Waddle, and others signed new contracts this offseason, Aiyuk could see a deal in the ballpark of the $28-$30 million per year that Waddle and St. Brown received. As NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport notes, the next potential holdout for Aiyuk will be training camp.
