Alvin Kamara rushed 11 times for 26 yards in the Saints’ Week 5 loss to the Chiefs, adding 40 yards on six receptions.

Kamara’s worst statistical performance of the year came on a night the Saints held the football for just over 20 minutes as the Chiefs dominated all aspects of the game plan. Even so, six receptions on eight targets kept Kamara’s fantasy value alive in the lopsided defeat. Of note in this one, starting quarterback Derek Carr departed in the fourth quarter with an oblique injury, leaving Jake Haener to finish out the game. The Saints host the Buccaneers in Week 6, making Carr’s health something Kamara managers will want to keep tabs on in the short week.
