Andy Dalton completed 18-of-28 passes for 136 yards and an interception in the Panthers’ 36-10, Week 5 loss to the Bears.

The house of cards came crashing down for Dalton and the Panthers’ offense after two strong performances since switching quarterbacks. Carolina scored a combined 60 points in Dalton’s first two starts. They couldn’t get anything going this week as Dalton was hounded by the Bears’ pass-rush and struggled to hit the mark when he did get his passes off. Things got so bad that Dalton was pulled late in the fourth quarter after the Bears had built a 26-point lead. Things get easier for the Panthers in their Week 6 matchup with Atlanta, but this game serves as a reality check for those counting on Dalton to single-handedly turn around the entire offense. He will rank as a low-end QB2 versus the Falcons.
