Antonio Gibson rushed five times for six yards in the Patriots’ Week 8 win over the Jets.

Gibson’s second straight horrid performance also featured a fumble, albeit one the Pats managed to recover. Gibson now has eight carries for 10 yards over his past two appearances, a span in which Rhamondre Stevenson has handled 32 touches. Gibson had a chance earlier this season to force an actual committee, but Stevenson has fairly decisively restored his early-year advantage. All that being said, Gibson could be needed for more work if Drake Maye (concussion) can’t go for Week 9 against the Titans.
