Antonio Gibson

Antonio Gibson

NEPDB • #4

Antonio Gibson rushed three times for four yards in the Patriots’ Week 7 loss to the Jaguars, adding one reception for nine yards.

Gibson walked off the field gingerly on the Patriots’ first drive of the game, paving the way for JaMycal Hasty to take over his duties on passing downs. Hasty made the most of the extra work with a receiving touchdown later on that drive. Gibson returned to the field a few minutes later but was used sparingly throughout the remainder of the first half. He did not earn a touch in the second half. The Patriots never made a formal announcement about his injury, but it’s clear Gibson was playing through something for most of this game. His status for Week 8 will be worth monitoring.
