Austin Ekeler

Austin Ekeler (concussion) did not practice Wednesday.

Ekeler took a punishing hit on a kick return late in Washington’s Week 12 loss to the Cowboys. He stayed down for a few minutes before slowly exiting the field. Head coach Dan Quinn later confirmed that he is in the league’s concussion protocol. A DNP on Wednesday suggests Ekeler will miss at least one game with the brain injury, putting Jeremy McNichols in line for an expanded role this week.
