Austin Ekeler ran seven times for 52 yards in the Commanders’ Week 8 win over the Bears, adding two receptions for six additional yards.

Ekeler’s impressive rushing total is backed by a 29-yard run that came in the closing seconds of the second quarter while the Bears were anticipating a deep pass to close out the half. Whatever fantasy upside Ekeler still possesses has gone largely unrealized through the first eight weeks of the season. He has just one top-24 PPR finish this season and is averaging just 2.6 targets per game. He’ll be a boom-or-bust RB3 in Week 9 against the Giants.
