Bills HC Sean McDermott said Curtis Samuel (turf toe) could play in Week 1 against the Cardinals.

McDermott also said there’s a chance Marquez Valdes-Scantling (neck) could return in time for Week 1. Daboll added that both situations remain “murky” now, but both players will be removed from their injuries for nearly three months. The return of Samuel and MVS would bode well for a Bills receiving corps that looks thin with both players out of the lineup. We’ll likely have more clarity on their situations as Week 1 draws closer, but it’s an encouraging sign with the team’s season-opener still 17 days away.
