After five years of college ball and three different programs letting him carry the load, Davis (5’8/211) is ready-made for an NFL job. He began his career at Temple and topped 1,100 yards from scrimmage on just over 200 touches. Following a COVID-lost 2020, Davis transferred to Vanderbilt. He missed most of his first season at Vanderbilt because of a toe injury but racked up 1,042 rushing yards on 232 carries in the following season. One transfer later and he posted 1,129 yards and 14 scores while also pitching in for 323 yards and an absurd seven more touchdowns through the air. Davis has solid vision and good patience behind the line, waiting for plays to develop before he makes a decision. He also has smooth hands in the passing game but could use some work in pass protection. Davis is as polished as he is partially because of how long he spent in college. He should get a chance to spell James Cook, and his penchant for finding the end zone could see carries near the goal line in 2024.
