The 49ers met with Aiyuk and talks continued to progress on a long-term contract extension. Schultz reports there has “been movement on a deal”, but there are still details that need to be determined with ownership approval. Head coach Kyle Shanahan had “zero updates” Tuesday on Aiyuk’s situation, but it seems an extension is becoming more and more of a reality for Aiyuk with San Francisco. With Week 1 just on the horizon, it would not be a surprise to see a deal get done soon, though there are some details still left to be ironed out.
