Bo Nix completed 8-of-9 passes for 80 yards and a touchdown in the Broncos’ preseason game against the Packers.

Nix also rushed three times for 12 yards. The rookie drew the start in Sunday’s contest in hopes of increasing his chances of being named the team’s Week 1 starter, and it certainly didn’t hurt his chances in this one. Nix’s one-touchdown night could’ve been a two-touchdown night, but an illegal forward pass knocked an impressive 14-yard touchdown pass to Javonte Williams off the board. Nix connected with Tim Patrick for a two-yard score to end his night and may have shown enough to secure the starting gig for Week 1 against the Seahawks.
