Braelon Allen rushed six times for 54 yards in the Jets’ preseason Week 1 game against the Commanders.

Starters did not play for the Jets but Allen’s 9.0 yards per carry on six totes solidifies his status as the clear backup to starter Breece Hall, backing up the initial depth chart release that had the rookie listed as the second in line for work. Allen has reportedly impressed in camp as both a runner and pass-catcher and appears to be one of the better pure backfield backups for fantasy purposes.
