Purdy was far from sharp in this one. Despite completing three passes of 20-plus yards and looking especially elusive in the pocket, Purdy and the Niners could not string together enough passes to keep drives alive. Purdy found George Kittle in the first quarter for a four-yard touchdown and led the offense to 23 points in the first half, but they would be the only points the Niners would manage, as the Cardinals shut them out in the second half. Of the 244 yards Purdy threw for, only 79 of them came in the second half. His two picks, which both came on balls that were popped into the air, also came in the second half. Purdy threw the game-ending interception late in the fourth quarter while attempting a drive, and he’s completed just 54.8 percent of his passes over the last two weeks. Clearly in a bit of a funk, Purdy will now prepare for the Seahawks on a short week in hopes of turning things around on Thursday night.
