Blake Watson

Broncos signed Memphis RB Blake Watson.

Watson (5’9/200) is a five-year prospect who started his career at Old Dominion only to transfer to Memphis for his final season. Regardless of where he played, Watson continuously showed an ability to make plays as a dual-threat. Watson totaled 3,189 rushing yards and 27 touchdowns over his final three seasons and added another 90-797-6 through the air. He forced a missed tackle on 29 percent of his career touches and averaged an impressive 3.79 YCO/ATT. He didn’t earn a combine invite, but ran a solid 4.40 at his pro day and impressed in explosiveness drills. He’s an older rookie who will turn 25 in October, but Watson is an explosive athlete who is a proven playmaker with the ball in his hands and could wind up landing on a practice squad with a strong camp.
