Browns and DT Maurice Hurst agreed to a one-year, $3.2 million contract.

Hurst played in 13 games for the Browns last season, totaling 22 tackles, four TFLs, and 1.5 sacks in his first season with the team. The former fifth-round pick has played for three teams over the last four years, and was in on 302 defensive snaps last season while earning a PFF grade of 81.0. More of a depth piece than an every-down starter, Hurst’s return will be a welcomed one by a Browns defense that ranked 13th in points allowed and first in total yards allowed.
