Bryce Young completed 4-of-7 passes for 58 yards in the Panthers’ 36-10, Week 5 loss to the Bears.

Young took over for Dalton on the Panthers’ final drive. Dalton had played a disastrous game, but the game was also entirely out of hand. Down by 26 with a few minutes left, the Panthers pulled their starter, though it may not be fair to say they benched him. Young scrambled and hit Miles Sanders for a 27-yard gain on his first snap. He picked up two more chunk gains on the drive but ultimately conceded a sack on fourth down to end the game. Young won’t reclaim the starting job anytime soon. However, he could get more work late in games if Dalton continues to struggle.
