Buccaneers coach Todd Bowles said he doesn’t expect Mike Evans (hamstring) to return before the team’s Week 11 bye.

Confirming earlier reporting, Evans has a serious hamstring injury. It’s still possible that he’ll be placed on injured reserve, but the Buccaneers are playing it cagey with the idea that he could return for Week 12’s game against the Giants. Evans had a 26/335/6 receiving line in seven starts so far this season. He bequeaths Baker Mayfield, who is playing the best ball of his career, to Jalen McMillan, Sterling Shepard, and Cade Otton. “We’re not going to ask them to be Mike and Chris,” Bowles added. Well, duh.
