Bucs head coach Todd Bowles said he wants Mike Evans to be “involved more” in the team’s offense.

Evans has been almost invisible in Tampa’s offense since his two-touchdown performance against Washington in Week 1. The veteran has five catches for 59 scoreless yards over his past two outings and was mostly shut down by Broncos CB Pat Surtain II in Week 3. Evans has seen 32 percent of the team’s air yards, second to Chris Godwin’s 39 percent air yards share. It’s a troubling development for a wideout who dominated opportunities in the Tampa offense as recently as the first half of the 2023 season. Evans, who is on pace for just 85 targets, could get back on track in Week 4 against a weak Eagles coverage unit.
