Caleb Williams

Caleb Williams completed 17-of-23 passes for 134 yards and two touchdowns, rushed four times for 27 yards and lost one fumble in the Bears’ 13-38, Week 14 loss to the 49ers.

Williams’ fumble was the result of a mid-throw decision to not release the football. He simply lost his grip and launched the ball somewhat backward and to the left, at the end of his follow-through. He staved off a complete flop with two second-half touchdown passes but was almost constantly under duress despite Nick Bosa (oblique/hip) being ruled out before kickoff. Williams was sacked seven times, tying for the second-highest sum of his young career. Williams is a QB1/2 against the Vikings in Week 15.
