Chargers OT Rashawn Slater (pec) did not practice Wednesday.

Fellow tackle Joe Alt is expected to miss some time with a knee issue. Slater looks unlikely to play because of his own injury this week. That will leave either a backup quarterback or a hobbled Justin Herbert behind a line without either starting tackle. Versus a strong Chiefs pass-rush, neither Herbert nor Taylor Heinicke are on the QB2 menu this week.
