Courtland Sutton

Courtland Sutton has been absent from Broncos voluntary OTAs.

Head coach Sean Payton said he and the team are not concerned about Sutton, who is remaining away from the team as he waits out a new contract. The Broncos fielded trade offers for Sutton earlier this offseason but opted not to trade the disgruntled receiver, who is set to earn $17.825 million this season. Sutton caught 59 passes for 772 yards and 10 touchdowns in 16 games last season and hasn’t gone for more than 829 yards in any of his last four seasons. He will turn 29 in October and could be forced to play out the remainder of his contract for a team that’s still re-shaping various parts of its offense.
