Dak Prescott said, “Good conversations are going on,” when asked about the possibility of an upcoming extension with the Cowboys.

Dak also added that he has “A lot of confidence” that a deal will get done. It’s a good sign for the Cowboys, who have a lot to figure out with two of their star players before the start of the season. Prescott has appeared willing to play on the final year of his deal, as evidenced by his participation in training camp, but CeeDee Lamb continues to hold out for a new deal. An extension for Dak will likely lower his 2024 cap hit, which could open the door for a deal to get done with Lamb before the start of the season. We’ll see if anything materializes for Dak in the coming days.
