Deebo Samuel (wrist, illness) returned to 49ers practice Thursday, getting in a “limited” session.

It’s been a remarkable turnaround for Samuel after he was briefly hospitalized earlier this week, but we still wouldn’t take his Week 8 status for granted. It does go without saying that the 49ers will give him every opportunity to suit up with Brandon Aiyuk (knee) done for the season. If Samuel goes against the Cowboys, he’ll be a risk/reward WR2 on a potential snap count.
