Derek Carr completed 18-of-31 passes for 236 yards and a touchdown in the Saints’ 23-22, Week 9 loss to the Panthers.

Active for the first time since Week 5, Carr was dismal in his return. A first quarter Chris Olave concussion didn’t help, but it was Carr who supplied what turned into a literal hospital ball. (Olave has thankfully been released and is traveling with the team back to New Orleans.) Playing ludicrously conservative football with an admittedly undermanned skill corps, Carr ... well, he lost to the Panthers. No throw was worse than his fourth down, down-field fade on 4th-and-4 with 1:09 remaining. Just ... what? Out of answers as Saints quarterback with Olave unlikely to play in Week 10 against the Falcons, Carr will struggle to crack the top 24 in fantasy.
