Diontae Johnson

Diontae Johnson (ankle) was not seen at Thursday’s practice.

Two straight DNPs for Johnson to open the week doesn’t bode well for his Week 7 availability against the Commanders. The Panthers’ WR1 has seen 43 targets over four Andy Dalton starts and caught six passes for 78 yards and a touchdown in his last game. Johnson has played through his ankle issue for the last two weeks, so we won’t assume he’s out until the team gives official word. With that said, this is also the first time he’s missed back-to-back practices to open the week. His name will be one to monitor on Friday’s injury report.
