Drake Maye completed 6-of-11 passes for 47 yards in Thursday’s preseason game against the Eagles, adding four carries for 15 yards and a touchdown.

Playing with the second-team offense, Maye found the end zone for a four-yard score on a read-option keeper. His 11 attempts were eight more than he was allowed in the opener. It hasn’t been a rough preseason for Maye, but it’s remained clear it will be Jacoby Brissett under center in Week 1 against the Bengals. The Maye countdown will nevertheless immediately commence.
