Eagles signed C Cam Jurgens to a four-year, $68 million extension.

Jurgens thrived in his first year as the replacement for future Hall of Famer Jason Kelce and has been handsomely rewarded for his efforts. The former second-round pick, who is now the second-highest paid center in the league, will get $39.4 million in guaranteed money on his new deal and is now under contract through 2029. Last season, Jurgens started in all 16 games he appeared in and earned his first Pro Bowl nod. He battled through a painful back injury throughout the postseason that required surgery to correct, but played at a high level on the way to helping the Eagles win their second Super Bowl in eight seasons. Jurgens has one year remaining on his rookie deal, meaning his new contract won’t fully kick in until next season.
