ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports Michael Pittman (calf/back) is expected to play in Week 3 against the Bears.

The news isn’t much of a surprise as it was reported that Pittman would play as early as Friday. Pittman was added to the injury report after being held out of the final practice of the week, though that appears to have been a precautionary move for the veteran wideout. Pittman’s bigger issue is his lack of a connection with Anthony Richardson. Pittman has caught just 47 percent of his targets. He reeled in 70 percent of his targets last year. With Josh Downs also returning this week, Pittman stands on the WR2/3 border for his matchup with Chicago.
