This is a surprise to no one as the soon-to-be 28-year old McCaffrey has continued to pace the running back position in the NFL. The deal includes $24 million guaranteed over the next two seasons and includes an additional $8 million on what he was scheduled to make in the first two years. McCaffrey is coming off a season in which he won Offensive Player of the Year while earning his first rushing title. He was set to be a free agent after the 2025 season, so this ensures the 49ers will have their guy for the future. The new contract only strengthens what was already known, CMC is the consensus number one overall pick in fantasy football for 2024.
