ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports Zach Ertz (concussion/shoulder) is trending toward playing in Week 16 against the Eagles.

Ertz suffered a concussion in Week 15 against the Saints and has been working his way through the league’s protocol over the past six days. He was only able to practice in a limited capacity on Friday, meaning he had multiple steps in the protocol to clear before being able to play on Sunday. It sounds like he will be given the green light later today, but fantasy managers should have a backup plan in place. Ben Sinnott and John Bates would likely split the starting role if Ertz is a surprise inactive.
