Gardner Minshew II

Gardner Minshew completed 10-of-21 passes for 95 yards in the Raiders’ preseason Week 2 game against the Cowboys, adding five yards on his lone carry.

Minshew drew the start after Aidan O’Connell started the team’s first preseason game but largely struggled against Mike Zimmer’s Dallas defense, leaving after the first drive of the second quarter with just three points to show for his labors. O’Connell appears to have the inside track to opening the season as the starting quarterback in Las Vegas, although head coach Antonio Pierce is expected to make the announcement on Sunday or Monday.
