Gardner Minshew II

Gardner Minshew completed 6-of-12 passes for 112 yards and a touchdown during Saturday’s preseason loss to the Vikings.

Aidan O’Connell got the start, but both got a quarter of action. The good was that the 28-year-old signal-caller was able to lead three scoring drives and found DJ Turner for a 20-yard score early in the second quarter. The bad was there were some accuracy issues; albeit while working with the second team. This competition wasn’t going to be settled Saturday, and both Minshew and O’Connell will likely see a similar amount of playing time next Saturday against the Cowboys.
