PIT • RB • #30
This shouldn’t come as a surprise, as Warren has arguably been the best back in Pittsburgh’s backfield since joining the team as an undrafted free agent in 2022. Often used as a change-of-pace back to Najee Harris, Warren has averaged 5.4 yards per touch over his first three seasons, ranking him among the most efficient backs in the league. Dulac writes in an article that “at the very least,” the Steelers would tender an offer to grant them the right of first refusal should another team offer Warren a contract in the offseason. They would also have the option to place a second-round tender on him, which would cost close to $5.217 million. Dulac notes a second-round tender on a 26-year-old back seems unlikely. With Harris possibly headed for free agency, the Steelers tendering an offer to Warren could open up a larger role for him should Harris leave town in the offseason.
