Slayton is entering the final year of his contract and is set to earn $8.15 million this season. The 27-year-old receiver is coming off a season in which he totaled 50 receptions for 770 yards — both career highs — and four touchdowns. A former fifth-round pick of the 2019 draft class, Slayton is hoping to earn a new contract from the Giants before reporting to camp, but there’s been little word on whether or not the Giants plan to give him a new deal at this time. Slayton is a solid field stretcher who has averaged 15.1 YPR for his career. A clear WR2 in an offense that is set to feature Malik Nabers, Slayton, is a near-replacement level player who the team could prefer to try to upgrade over once his current deal expires at the end of this season.
