J.K. Dobbins

J.K. Dobbins rushed 17 times for 131 yards and a touchdown in the Chargers’ Week 2 win over the Panthers.

Dobbins has now cruised past 130 yards rushing in each of his first two games in a Chargers uniform. This very much remained a committee — Gus Edwards took the rock 18 times for 59 scoreless yards in a bloodless 26-3 victory — but Dobbins also very much maintained the “hot hand.” His touchdown was a 49-yarder where the Chargers sealed the edge and Dobbins found the sideline. He threw a stiff arm before somersaulting into the end zone. Excellent stuff. With his carries floor probably still only in the 10-12 range, Dobbins isn’t yet a safe weekly RB2, but he’s trending that way quickly. He’ll be a strong FLEX for Week 3 against the Raiders.
