Ja’Lynn Polk caught 2-of-3 targets for 12 yards in the Patriots’ Week 2 overtime loss to the Seahawks.

Polk’s five-yard score in the first quarter —he caught an end zone dart from Jacoby Brissett in Julian Love’s coverage — seemed to presage a bigger day after Polk’s 1/6 NFL debut in Week 1. Instead, he got out-targeted 12-3 by Hunter Henry as Brissett attempted only 27 passes. There just isn’t much room for passing-game production in this limited, short-handed offense, and that very much includes for Week 3 against the Jets’ Sauce Gardner and company.
