Jets HC Robert Saleh said Braelon is “an all-around good back” after Saturday’s preseason game against the Panthers.

Allen rushed eight times for 27 yards in Saturday’s contest and added another two receptions for 12 yards. He’s had a productive start to the preseason thus far, rushing for 81 yards in total while looking explosive as the team’s No. 2 runner. Saleh also praised Allen’s ability as a route runner while adding, “he’s really good in [pass] protection, too.” Allen appears all but locked in as the RB2 behind Breece Hall and has the potential to be a high-end backfield backup in fantasy if Hall were ever to miss time.
