Joe Flacco completed 26-of-38 passes for 330 yards, two touchdowns, two interceptions and a lost fumble in the Colts’ 45-33, Week 17 loss to the Giants.

18 days shy of his 40th birthday and making what could end up the final start of his career — for what it’s worth, Flacco has said he would like to continue playing — the ol’ gunslinger threw multiple picks for the first 41st time in 194 appearances. As you might expect, the giveaways weren’t good decisions, but Flacco was put in surprisingly awful game script by a Colts defense that had been playing well of late. Instead, the G-Men spent most of the final three quarters up multiple scores, forcing Flacco into the kind of obvious passing situations where he becomes something of a sitting duck. The 39-year-old still displayed excellent arm strength and timing. The arm will at least play for 2025. Who knows about Flacco’s lower half. The Colts will presumably go to great lengths to get Anthony Richardson one final start against the Jaguars in Week 18, but Flacco is probably the favorite as of this moment.
