Jonathan Taylor (ankle) will not practice on Wednesday.

Head coach Shane Steichen said he is hopeful Taylor will practice at some point this week but wouldn’t commit to a day for his return. Taylor is dealing with a high-ankle sprain he suffered in Week 4 against the Steelers, and while the team has opted to keep him off injured reserve, it’s possible he misses a few games. Trey Sermon played well-ahead of Tyler Goodson in last week’s loss to the Jaguars and would be the favorite to lead the backfield again in Week 6 against the Titans if Taylor is unable to go.
